Eric Michael Williams has never lived on "easy street." He only knows the long-haul rough roads that build endurance and leave stories to tell. He's seasoned by a life that has served to shape and strengthen him. He breathes that life into every script he writes and into each moment he creates in a scene.
Over a fourteen year period, Eric gained extensive insight into the lives of those addicted to drugs and alcohol. Those experiences enhance his creative writing and acting abilities. Eric is a frequent speaker on overcoming the perils of substance abuse and alcoholism. He is a strong advocate for helping those who are trapped in the unforgiving clutches of addiction.
Eric's resilience and resolve to empower others is the foundation of his work both on screen and behind the camera. Telling stories that people want to hear and sharing them with others drives him. He is currently directing a dramatic short film that he wrote and produced. When Eric committed to head down this road, he knew it would not be a smooth ride. What he did not know was that a curve ahead would require him to also become the cinematographer and a man with another story to tell along the route he calls "routine."
Eric Michael Williams resides in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area where he is co-founder of City Gates Productions, LLC. This is their debut production.
Eric is featured on the website for the film TERROR NETWORKS which deals with terrorism, faith and leadership. View Conflict/Drama photos of Eric Michael Williams.
